Every time you choose your new, empowering self talk over your old patterns, you're literally dissolving old neural connections and building new ones. You're becoming a biologically different person. Breaking old patterns requires understanding how they were formed in the first place. Your current self talk patterns were created through repeated thoughts and emotions, usually during times of stress or strong emotional experiences, these patterns got wired into your brain's neural architecture. But here's the amazing thing about your brain, it doesn't care if a pattern is good or bad, empowering or limiting. It just responds to repetition and emotional intensity. So when you start talking yourself like a boss, you need to bring the same level of emotional intensity to your new self talk that created your old patterns.
