#BR EP. 90 - WORKING SMARTER // SELF ENQUIRY
1. Morning Momentum: Tomorrow morning, before checking your phone, sit up, take three deep breaths, and set an intention for the day. How does this small shift affect your mindset and focus?
2. The 3-Second Rule: Try the three-second rule the next time you feel resistance to starting an important task. Count backward—3, 2, 1—and move immediately. Reflect on how this changes your ability to take action.
3. Celebrate Small Wins: After completing even the tiniest task toward your goal (like writing one sentence or doing one push-up), pause and celebrate. How does acknowledging small wins make you feel?
4. Energy Mapping: For the next three days, rate your energy levels every hour on a scale of 1–10. Identify your "power hours" and plan to tackle your most important tasks during those times. How does aligning tasks with energy cycles impact your productivity?
5. Visualize Success: Spend two minutes daily visualizing yourself taking action toward a goal. Imagine the satisfaction and pride of progress. What shifts do you notice in your motivation and confidence after practicing this consistently?

Look at your life right now. You've got all these ideas bouncing around in your head. Maybe it's that business You want to start, that book, you want to write that body You want to transform, your mind races with possibilities, but your body, it stays right there on that couch, scrolling, watching, waiting. You know what's crazy? Your phone probably has more goals written in its Notes app than actions taken toward them. You're smart enough to succeed, maybe even smarter than most successful people you know. But something keeps holding you back, that gap between what you could do and what you actually do, that's not just frustrating. It's costing you your future. every day you stay in this pattern, your brain gets better at being lazy and staying the same. brain is literally rewiring itself to choose comfort over.
I'm going to show you how to flip that same system to work for you instead of against you
not through motivation, not through discipline, but through understanding exactly how their brain is wired, and using that knowledge to our advantage is the key. This is about making stagnation impossible by changing your brain's hardwiring.
You know that feeling when you're about to start something important? Suddenly your brain comes up with 100 other things to do. That's not just you being lazy or distructed. That's your brain following its wiring. But here's the amazing thing about your brain. It's like plastic. Scientists call this neuroplasticity, Whatever you do repeatedly, your brain gets better at doing. Think about this. Every time you check your phone when you're supposed to be working, your brain releases these feel good chemicals, dopamine. It's the same chemical that makes chocolate feel good, that makes scrolling through social media feel good. Your brain absolutely loves this stuff. And guess what? It's keeping track. Every single time you choose the easy thing, watching another video, scrolling another feed, putting off that important task, your brain is literally rewiring itself to repeat that pattern. Here's where it gets interesting. Your Comfort Zone isn't just a mental thing, it's a physical pattern in your brain. Every morning, when you wake up, your brain has a choice. It can either follow the old easy pathways, the ones that lead to procrastination and comfort, or it can build new ones, and your brain loves to be efficient. it always chooses the path it knows best. That's why motivation alone never works. You can listen to motivational podcasts and read books, Feel super pumped up, ready to change everything, and then tomorrow morning, your brain goes right back to its old patterns. Why? Because motivation is trying to fight against actual physical pathways in your brain. Most people think the solution is to fight harder, more willpower, more discipline, more pushing, but they're fighting against their own brain chemistry. The real problem isn't that you're lazy. The real problem is that your brain has become addicted to the chemistry of comfort. Every time you procrastinate, you get a little hit of relief. I don't have to do that hard thing right now. Your brain loves that feeling so much that it starts craving it. That's why you can spend hours thinking about all the amazing things you're going to do, planning every detail, but when it comes time to actually do them, your brain pulls the emergency brake. Successful people aren't smarter. They've just learned how to rewire their brains so that taking action feels as good as procrastinating used to feel. They've turned their brain chemistry from their biggest enemy into their strongest ally.
once you understand how to make your brain work for you instead of against you, everything changes. Those same pathways that are keeping you stuck right now, they're about to become the rocket fuel for your success. So now you understand why your brain keeps choosing comfort over success. But knowing isn't enough. You need a system to break free, and it starts the moment you open your eyes in the morning. Most people wake up and immediately grab their phones in those first few seconds, they're programming their brains for distraction. But your morning moments are pure gold. Your brain is like a fresh computer. Whatever program you install first will run all day. Here's what I want you to do tomorrow morning, the second you wake up before your brain can argue with you, sit up in bed. Don't check your phone, don't think about your problems, just sit up straight and take three deep breaths. You're teaching your brain that you and not your habits are in control. because in those first moments of the day, you're literally programming your brain. it takes just three seconds to start rewiring decades of patterns. the moment you feel resistance to doing something important. Count backwards, 321, then move. Don't think. Don't argue with yourself. Just move. Stand up, open that document, make that call. Why does this work? Because you're acting before your brain's comfort system can kick in. Every time you use the three second rule, you're building new neural pathways. Every small win is like placing a brick in the foundation of your new brain. One push up, one paragraph, one phone call. The key is to celebrate these tiny wins.
Most people wait for big achievements to feel good, but you want to celebrate taking action itself. Every time you beat procrastination, even for three seconds, your brain releases success chemicals, the same chemicals that used to come from avoiding work, now come from taking action. Think about that. Instead of getting a dopamine hit from scrolling social media, you're getting it from moving towards your goals. That's how you turn your brain's reward system into your ally. Small wins. Celebrate it immediately, create an addiction to action instead of procrastination. This isn't about motivation or forcing yourself. It's about understanding how your brain works and using that knowledge to your advantage. The three second rule bypasses your brain's comfort system. Morning programming sets you up for success and celebrating small wins creates a new addiction, an addiction to achievement. your old habits took years to build, but you don't need years to change them. You need three seconds repeated consistently. That's the power of understanding your brain's operating system. And once you start using these tools, something amazing happens. Taking action becomes easier than procrastinate. now that you've started breaking those old patterns.
Let's talk about a meditation technique that's different from anything you've tried before. This isn't about sitting quietly and emptying your mind. This is about actively rewiring your brain for success. Here's what most people get wrong about motivation. They wait to feel motivated before taking action, but your brain doesn't work that way. Think of motivation like electricity. You can't store it, but you can create it whenever you need it. I'm going to show you exactly how. Find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed for 15 minutes. Sit comfortably, close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Now, instead of trying to clear your mind, think about a time when you felt unstoppable. Maybe it was finishing a tough project, winning at something, or achieving a goal. Feel that moment in your body. Where do you feel it? In your chest, your stomach, your shoulders. That feeling isn't just in your mind. It's actual chemicals flowing through your body. While holding that feeling, picture yourself doing what you've been putting off. See yourself starting that project, writing that first page, making that call. Don't just watch it like a movie. Feel it. Feel the satisfaction of taking action. Feel the pride of moving forward. Your brain can't tell the difference between what's real and what you're vividly imagining. Every time you do this exercise, you're carving new pathways in your brain. It's like creating shortcuts through a dense forest. The first time is the hardest. You're breaking new ground. But each time you repeat this process, that path gets wider and clear. After a few weeks, your brain starts automatically looking for these new pathways instead of falling back into old, patterns.
Let me give you a simple daily routine to strengthen these new neural pathways. thing in the morning, spend one minute feeling gratitude, not just thinking about it, really feeling it in your body. This primes your brain's reward system. Then take two minutes to visualize yourself taking action towards your biggest goal. See it in vivid detail, feel the satisfaction of doing it. Your brain is already starting to wire itself for success. Finally, spend three minutes planning your next small win, not your whole day, just the next action that will move you forward. Make it so small it seems ridiculous. Want to write a book. Plan to write one sentence. Want to start exercising. Plan to do one push up. This whole process takes just six minutes, but it's rewiring your brain on three levels. The gratitude activates your brain's reward center, the visualization strengthens new neural pathways, and the tiny goal planning builds momentum. Here's what's happening in your brain during this process. Every time you combine strong emotions with clear visualization, , you're teaching your brain that taking action feels good. You're literally rewiring your pleasure centers to crave achievement instead of comfort. Most people try to force themselves to change through willpower, but willpower is like a muscle. It gets tired. This technique is different. It's like installing a new operating system in your brain. You're not fighting against your brain's natural tendencies. You're redirecting them. Think about water flowing downhill right now, your brain's energy naturally flows toward comfort and procrastination. But with this daily practice, you're
gradually carving new channels. Soon, that same energy will naturally flow toward action and achievement. The key is consistency. Do this every day for 30 days, even if you don't feel like it, even if you think it's not working, remember, you're not just creating new thoughts. You're physically rewiring your brain. And just like building muscles, this rewiring happens gradually, but the results last.
Your energy isn't random. It runs in cycles, just like a wave, but most people try to fight these cycles. They try to work when their energy is low, then wonder why they can't focus. They try to be creative when their brain is tired, then beat themselves up for not having good ideas.
You've got about 90 minutes of peak performance in you at a time. That's how your body naturally works. But here's the exciting part, you can learn to surf these energy waves instead of fighting them.
For the next three days, I want you to rate your energy every hour from one to 10. How do you feel?energy, focus, mental and physical. You'll start seeing a pattern. Maybe you're sharpest at 6am, maybe 6pm, maybe you are most energised 9am-12pm and this is where you want to move, maybe your mental focus is the best in the afternoon. these are your power hours, the times when your brain is primed for action. Once you know your patterns. Here's the magic trick, schedule your most important tasks during your peak energy times. Don't waste your energy power hours on scrolling, emails or meetings. Save them for the big stuff, the things that will actually move your life forward.
But what about those low energy periods? Most people try to push through them with coffee or sugar, or energy drinks. Big mistake. Instead, use these dips for easy tasks or quick breaks. It's like breathing. You can't inhale forever. You need to exhale too. Your brain works the same way.
Now let's talk connection between your thoughts and your physical energy. Every thought you have creates a chemical reaction in your body. When you think I'm tired or this is too hard, your body actually starts producing chemicals that make you feel heavy and sluggish. But here's the good news, you can shift this system. Start catching yourself when you think draining thoughts. Replace them with energy, building phrases, I'm getting stronger, I am focused, I am full of energy and clarity. Each action builds momentum. Energy flows where attension goes. These aren't just positive thinking. They're instructions to your body's chemical factory. Let’s test this right now., stand up. Put your shoulders back, lift your chest and smile. Hold this for just 30 seconds. Feel different. That's because your body posture actually changes your brain chemistry. Use this whenever you feel your energy dropping. start with 90 minute focus block during your peak energy time, no phone, no distractions, pure action toward your most important goal. after 90 minutes, take a break. 15-20 minutes of something completely different, walk, stretch, breathe. The key is matching your actions to your energy levels. Don't try to write your business plan when your brain is foggy. Don't waste your peak energy on mindless tasks. Work with your natural rhythms, not against them. Think of energy like compound interest. Small investments may consistently create massive returns over time. Each time you take action during your peak hours, you're not just getting things done. You're training your brain to associate those times with product. Each time you honor your rest periods, you're recharging for your next power move. This isn't about working more hours. It's about working smarter with the energy you have. It's about creating a sustainable system that doesn't rely on motivation or willpower, because once you align your actions with your natural energy cycles, procrastination starts to disappear on its own.
Let's talk about Your identity. right now You see yourself as someone who wants to achieve big things, but wanting isn't enough. The real transformation happens when you become someone who just does things. It's not about trying anymore. It's about being.
I’ll share share a powerful technique called the mirror moment. Every morning, before anything else, stand in front of your mirror, look yourself in the eyes, instead of seeing the person who's always planning to start tomorrow, see the person you're becoming. Don't say, I want to be successful or I'll try to work harder. Say I am successful, and I take action every day, your brain is listening to every word you say to yourself. It's not just listening, it's literally reshaping itself based on who you tell it you are. When you say, I'm trying to become more productive, your brain keeps you in trying mode. But when you say, I am productive, your brain starts looking for ways to make that true. Write down three sentences that describe your future self, not what you'll do, but who you'll be. Instead of, I want to build a business, I am a successful business owner. Instead of, I want to get in shape, I am someone who takes care of their body. Read these sentences every morning and every night, feel them, believe in them. The magic happens when you start acting from this new identity, when you face a choice, ask yourself, what would the successful version of me do right now? Don't worry about the big picture, just take the next small action that matches your new identity. This isn't fake it till you make it. This is actually rewiring your brain's understanding of who you are. Every time you take action from your new identity, you strengthen these neural pathways. Every time you make a choice as your future self, you make that future self more real. Think about it like this, your old identity is like an old suit that doesn't fit anymore. Every time you act from your new identity, you're trying on your new shoes. At first it might feel strange, uncomfortable even, but each time you wear it, they fit a little better. The key is consistency, especially in the moments when you're tired or your old identity wants to give in. Start small. Pick one area of your life, maybe it's health, business or relationships. Write down who you want to become in that area, not your goals, your identity. Then find one tiny action you can take today that matches this new identity. your brain believes what you tell it consistently. If you keep saying I can’t or I never finish things, that's a program that will run. But when you start living from your new identity, even in tiny ways, your brain has no choice but to catch up with who you're becoming.
It's not about making huge leaps. It's about tiny actions that build up over time. Think of it like pushing a heavy stone. The hardest part getting it to move that first inch, but once it's rolling, it builds its own momentum.
Let's talk about the compound effect. One push up today might not seem like much, but one push up done every day, growing by just one more each week, turns into over 300 push ups a month. That's the secret. Successful people know. Small actions compound into massive results.
I'm going to teach you something called habit stacking. It's like creating a chain reaction in your day. Pick one tiny habit, something so small you can't fail. Now attach it to something you already do every day.example. Every time you brush your teeth, do one push up, every time you pour your morning tea, write one sentence. Every time you check your phone, take three deep breaths. You're not trying to force new habits. You're linking them to existing ones. Your brain loves this because it's not fighting against old patterns. It's just adding to them. The first 21 days are about breaking your old pattern. Your brain will fight you. It'll make excuses. It'll try to pull you back to your comfort zone. Push through these 21 days, no matter what, do your small action, even if you don't feel like it, even if you think it's not working, then something interesting happens around day 22 your new actions start feeling normal. But don't stop there. The next 90 days are where the magic happens. This is when your new habits become part of your identity. They're no longer things you do. They're part of who you are. Here's the key to making this work. Never break the chain. If you can't do your normal action, do something smaller. Can't do a push up, just get into push up position. Can't write a sentence, write one word. the goal isn't perfection. It's consistency. Your brain loves winning and progress. Every time you follow through on a small promise to yourself, you build trust with yourself. Every small win creates momentum for the next win. It's like a snowball rolling downhill, getting bigger and moving faster
pick one tiny action that moves you towards your biggest goal. Make it laughably small. Now link it to something you already do every day. That's your starting point. Tomorrow, you'll do it again and again before you know it, you look back and realize these tiny actions have completely changed your life.
Look Around your room right now, everything you see started as a thought in someone's mind. The device you're listening this on, it started as an idea. The shoes you are wearing. And here's what's amazing, the same power that turned those thoughts into reality exists in your mind right now,
we've covered a lot today. You've learned how your brain creates patterns and how to break them. You've discovered the power of the three second rule, the morning programming that changes everything and how to match your actions with your energy cycles. You now understand how to shift your identity and build momentum. But knowing isn't enough. information without action is just entertainment. And you are not listening to this podcast to be entertained. You want to change. So let me give you a challenge that starts right now, not tomorrow, not next week, but in the next three seconds. 321, stand up right now. I mean, stand up wherever you are. Feel the energy in your body change. This is the moment you stop being someone who
is listening about success and becomes someone who creates success. Here are your next steps. As soon as this episode ends, take out your phone, open your notes app, write down these three commitments. Tomorrow morning, I'll sit up in bed before touching my phone. I'll do my first tiny action within five minutes of waking up. I'll look in the mirror and say, I am becoming unstoppable. That's day one. Just those three things, no big plans, no complicated strategies, just three simple actions that signal to your brain the old patterns end today. But here's the part that matters most. What you're really doing is laying the foundation for an entirely new future. Six months from now, you won't recognize your life, not because you made some huge change, but because you made tiny changes consistently. Imagine waking up six months from now, your body naturally rises before your alarm. You feel energy coursing through you because your brain is wired for action. The goals that used to feel overwhelming now feel inevitable because you're not trying anymore. You're simply being the person who achieves them. This is the result of rewiring your brain, one small action at a time, every morning ritual, every three second decision, every tiny habit stacked on top of another. They're all creating new neural pathways that make success your default setting. Don't wait for motivation. Don't wait for the perfect moment.
